Jones Paces Chargers With Season-High 17 Points in Win Over Wildcats

The Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team beat Culver-Stockton JV 73-61 on Thursday, giving the Chargers their third win in the last four games.

Freshman James Jones (Springfield, Ill./Lanphier) led the Chargers (10-4) with a season-best 17 points. Jones’s previous high this season was a nine-point outing on Nov. 19 at Eureka JV.

The Chargers will return home to face Glen Oaks (Mich.) at 3 p.m. Saturday at John M. Lewis Gymnasium.
